Association for the Development of the Person-Centered Approach

Who are we?

The Association is a 23 year-old organization of approximately 325 people. We are:
    * Mental health professionals--psychologists, psychiatrists, counselors, social workers
    * Mental health nonprofessionals-- students, homemakers, secretaries, construction  workers, physicians, teachers, etc.                          

 
We come from all over the world:
    * the United States
    * Mexico,
    * Japan,
    * China,
    * Eastern and Western Europe,
with our predominant nationality being American.

We are interested in the rich Client/Person-Centered legacy as well as in contributing to it. Besides sponsoring an Annual Conference, we publish the Person Centered Journal, a refereed journal, and Renaissance, a more informal newsletter. Lastly we host an internet mailing list, which, like our Annual Conference, is open to members and nonmembers.
